The End of Summer and Hurricane Irene
Summer's just about over, and Hurricane Irene isn't helping people enjoy their final weekend. We'll know more over the next couple of days, but hopefully the weakened storm won't do too much damage.
No matter what happens, keep 2 things in mind: September is still one of the best months to visit Newport (because the kids are back in school and the crowds are gone) and our local businesses will need your support to recover from the storm.
So be sure to come visit and take advantage of a calmer Newport and all the deals that will be available.
It's finally here...Ultimate Newport Vacation!
Our 7 day vacation guide will literally plan out your entire stay in Newport for a whole week.
Why thumb through brochures or spend hours online researching when we've already done it for you?
We'll show you where to stay, what to see and do, where to dine and where to go out at night. If you're traveling with kids, we'll have plenty of activities for them as well.
So whether you plan on visiting this month, during the winter or next spring or summer, this is the only guide you'll need.

Here is what's new since last time...
#1) Cruise Ship Pickup
Dot from North Kingstown asked: "I will be meeting people coming on a cruise ship, where would I go to do that?"
Check out the page to see my answer and some pics of a monstrous cruise ship I saw coming up Narragansett Bay back in June.
#2) Mystery Arches on Burma Road?
Question: "There is a building on Burma Road that has two large steel arches over a building with wires going down to the ground or the building. I've attached a picture. Can you tell me what this is?"
My response: Visit the page to find out!
