This inn is at the western end of Memorial Boulevard, right next to the United States Post Office, and across the street from the Red Parrot restaurant. It is only about a mile from the beach and the Newport Mansions.

If you walk from the front door west toward the Post Office, you are literally in the heart of downtown Newport. The Newport Yachting Center will be directly in front of you, across America's Cup Avenue.
If you go left, you'll be heading down lower Thames Street, which is full of great bars, restaurants and never-ending shops.
Making a right will allow you to explore upper Thames Street, which is also home to many amazing restaurants, nightclubs and unique shops.

***NATIVE ADVICE***
During the summer season, get a room that is in the back of the house if you can. Although it is great to be so close to everything downtown, it can get pretty rowdy at night.
There is always traffic in front of the house, and once the bars let out at 1am, it'll be tough to sleep through all the noise as party-goers stumble by (unless you're already passed out yourself!).
