Welcome!

Or for those of you who've been subscribers for awhile, welcome back!

My goal with the site for 2010 is to provide even more interesting information, photos and videos for your enjoyment. If there is anything you're interested in, or would like to see more of, please don't hesitate to make some suggestions.

I'd also like to encourage you to become a part of the site by contributing your stories and/or photos of Newport to the site. I'm sure you have plenty, so don't be shy!

So check out the items below, and click on the corresponding links to view more about each topic.

Summer's Just About Over!

Although school will be back in session soon, September is still one of the best months of the year to come visit Newport. The weather is still pretty nice and the crowds start to die down a little.

So what are you waiting for? Book your accommodations today, and come enjoy everything the "City by the Sea" has to offer:
September Events

Some of September's highlights:
  • Newport Waterfront Irish Festival
  • 40th Annual Newport International Boat Show
  • Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival
If you want to let me know about a great event that's going on, or want to promote your own event, feel free to do so by adding it to our Event Calendar
From the Vault #6

Here's some more old Newport RI photos. Random shots from around town, including: The Breakers mansion, Colony House, Naval War College and Newport Tower.

Swiss Village

Swiss Village is rarely open to the public. Luckily we were able to get some great shots from their annual Visitor's Day.

The Andrea Rizzo Foundation - 9th Annual Walk for the Children

The Andrea Rizzo Foundation held its 9th annual “Walk for the Children”, which benefits children with cancer and special needs at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and local schools. It was a beautiful day on the Newport Cliff Walk to benefit this great cause.

Crossing Bridges

We do our best to try to answer as many visitor questions as possible.

Question: Is the only way to get to Middletown or Newport by going over a bridge? Answer: The short answer is yes.....

The Breakers Tickets & Trinity Church

Bev is going to see 2 amazing Newport RI attractions, Trinity Church and The Breakers mansion. She had some questions that others may find informative...

Well, I guess that's about it for September.

I hope you find plenty of interesting things to see and do, and enjoy yourself if you get a chance to visit.
